Ingredients

Dough

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Cinnamon Butter

  • 1/2 cup softened butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon

Banana Bread Batter

  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Assembly

  • 2 bananas, sliced

Cream Cheese Glaze

  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2-3 tbsp milk

Instructions

  1. Prepare the no-knead dough by mixing flour, yeast, warm milk, sugar, butter, egg, and salt until combined; let rise for 1-2 hours until doubled.
  2. While dough rises, make the cinnamon butter by creaming softened butter with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  3. Prepare the banana bread batter by mashing ripe bananas and mixing with flour, sugar, egg, baking powder, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle on a floured surface.
  5. Spread the cinnamon butter evenly over the dough, then dollop and spread the banana bread batter on top.
  6. Sprinkle sliced bananas over the batter.
  7. Roll the dough tightly into a log, starting from the long side, and slice into 12 rolls.
  8. Place rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise for 30 minutes.
  9. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes until golden.
  10. While baking, make the cream cheese glaze by beating cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until smooth.
  11. Drizzle the warm rolls with glaze and serve.
