Ingredients
Dough
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp salt
Cinnamon Butter
- 1/2 cup softened butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
Banana Bread Batter
- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Assembly
- 2 bananas, sliced
Cream Cheese Glaze
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2-3 tbsp milk
Instructions
- Prepare the no-knead dough by mixing flour, yeast, warm milk, sugar, butter, egg, and salt until combined; let rise for 1-2 hours until doubled.
- While dough rises, make the cinnamon butter by creaming softened butter with brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Prepare the banana bread batter by mashing ripe bananas and mixing with flour, sugar, egg, baking powder, and vanilla until smooth.
- Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle on a floured surface.
- Spread the cinnamon butter evenly over the dough, then dollop and spread the banana bread batter on top.
- Sprinkle sliced bananas over the batter.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log, starting from the long side, and slice into 12 rolls.
- Place rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise for 30 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes until golden.
- While baking, make the cream cheese glaze by beating cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until smooth.
- Drizzle the warm rolls with glaze and serve.
