Creamy Garlic Herb Pasta Sauce
A rich, velvety garlic butter cream sauce infused with herbs and shallots, perfect for coating your favorite pasta.

- 1 stick butter
- 1 shallot
- 4 cloves garlic
- 350 ml heavy cream
- 1/4 cup pasta water
- 1 tsp mixed herbs
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 1/2 cups parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Melt 1 stick of butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the diced shallot and minced garlic to the pan.
- Simmer the mixture for about 2 minutes until fragrant and softened.
- Pour in the heavy cream and a splash of reserved pasta water.
- Stir in the mixed herbs, oregano, and garlic powder.
- If using, add the grated parmesan cheese and stir until melted.
- Let the sauce simmer gently for 3-5 minutes until thickened.
- Toss the sauce with cooked pasta of your choice and serve immediately.
Notes
Add the optional parmesan for extra richness and body. The starchy pasta water helps emulsify the sauce for a silky texture.
