Homemade Pita Chips
Crispy, flavorful pita chips baked with avocado oil and simple seasonings, offering a healthier alternative to fried chips without excess seed oils or calories.
Ingredients
- 6 pieces pita bread
- 3 tbsp avocado oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried oregano or other herbs
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Separate the pita breads into individual layers if they are pocket-style, then cut each layer into 8-10 triangular pieces.
- In a large bowl, toss the pita pieces with avocado oil until evenly coated.
- Sprinkle salt, paprika, garlic powder, and any desired herbs over the pieces, then toss again to distribute seasonings evenly.
- Arrange the seasoned pita pieces in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 8-12 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through if needed.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
