Chicken Caesar Pasta Salad with Cheez-It Crunch
A fun twist on classic Caesar salad featuring bow tie pasta, tender chicken, crisp lettuce, and extra-toasty Cheez-Its for irresistible crunch.
Ingredients
Ingredients
- 8 oz bow tie pasta
- 2 whole chicken breasts
- 1 head romaine lettuce
- 1 cup caesar dressing
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
- 2 cups extra toasty cheez-its
Instructions
- Cook the bow tie pasta in salted boiling water according to package directions until al dente. Drain and rinse under cold water to cool.
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Grill or pan-sear over medium-high heat for 6-7 minutes per side until cooked through. Let rest 5 minutes, then slice or dice.
- Chop the lettuce into bite-sized pieces and place in a large serving bowl.
- Add the cooled pasta and sliced chicken to the bowl with the lettuce.
- Drizzle with Caesar dressing and toss gently to coat everything evenly.
- Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and toss again.
- Just before serving, crush the extra-toasty Cheez-Its and scatter generously over the top for crunch.
Notes
Crush the Cheez-Its right before serving to maintain maximum crunch. Leftovers keep well in the fridge for up to 2 days if the topping is stored separately.
