Easy Pan Dumplings

20m
2 servings

Quick and flavorful pan-fried dumplings stuffed with seasoned ground turkey filling, offering 11g of protein per dumpling and ready in under 20 minutes.

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 450 g ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup green onions
  • 2 tbsp coconut aminos
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp ginger powder
  • 1/3 cup broth
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • pinch salt
  • 8-10 dumpling or wonton wrappers
  • for topping green onions
  • for topping chili oil
  • for topping sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine 450g ground turkey, 1/2 cup chopped green onions, 2 tbsp coconut aminos, 2 tsp sesame oil, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp ginger powder, 1/3 cup broth, 1/2 tsp chili flakes, 1/2 tsp black pepper, and a pinch of salt. Mix until well incorporated.
  2. Place 1-2 tsp of filling in the center of each dumpling or wonton wrapper (use 8-10 wrappers). Wet the edges with water and fold to seal, creating pleats if desired.
  3. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add dumplings seam-side up and cook for 2-3 minutes until bottoms are golden brown.
  4. Pour 1/4 cup water or broth into the pan, cover immediately, and steam for 4-5 minutes until filling is cooked through and wrappers are tender.
  5. Remove lid and cook uncovered for 1 minute to crisp bottoms if needed. Serve hot topped with chopped green onions, chili oil, and sesame seeds.

Notes

For a vegetarian version, substitute ground turkey with crumbled tofu or mushrooms. Ensure wrappers are sealed well to prevent leaks during steaming; use low-sodium broth if watching salt intake.
