Ingredients
Ingredients
- 450 g ground turkey
- 1/2 cup green onions
- 2 tbsp coconut aminos
- 2 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp ginger powder
- 1/3 cup broth
- 1/2 tsp chili flakes
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- pinch salt
- 8-10 dumpling or wonton wrappers
- for topping green onions
- for topping chili oil
- for topping sesame seeds
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine 450g ground turkey, 1/2 cup chopped green onions, 2 tbsp coconut aminos, 2 tsp sesame oil, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp ginger powder, 1/3 cup broth, 1/2 tsp chili flakes, 1/2 tsp black pepper, and a pinch of salt. Mix until well incorporated.
- Place 1-2 tsp of filling in the center of each dumpling or wonton wrapper (use 8-10 wrappers). Wet the edges with water and fold to seal, creating pleats if desired.
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add dumplings seam-side up and cook for 2-3 minutes until bottoms are golden brown.
- Pour 1/4 cup water or broth into the pan, cover immediately, and steam for 4-5 minutes until filling is cooked through and wrappers are tender.
- Remove lid and cook uncovered for 1 minute to crisp bottoms if needed. Serve hot topped with chopped green onions, chili oil, and sesame seeds.
Notes
For a vegetarian version, substitute ground turkey with crumbled tofu or mushrooms. Ensure wrappers are sealed well to prevent leaks during steaming; use low-sodium broth if watching salt intake.
