A bright, fragrant fruit salad that lets ripe nectarines, mango, strawberries, apple, and blueberries shine, tossed in a lemon‑cardamom syrup for a refreshing twist.

  • 2 nectarines
  • 1 mango
  • 1 cups strawberries, sliced
  • 1 apple, diced
  • 1 cups blueberries
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1/2 tsp ground cardamom
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup (or honey)
  • pinch pinch salt

Instructions

  1. Slice the nectarines and mango into bite‑size pieces and dice the apple; slice the strawberries and combine all fruit in a large bowl.
  2. Whisk together the lemon juice, lemon zest, ground cardamom, maple syrup, and pinch salt until the syrup is smooth and aromatic.
  3. Drizzle the lemon‑cardamom syrup over the fruit and gently toss to coat every piece evenly.
  4. Let the fruit sit for 5 minutes so the flavors meld and the fruit absorb a hint of the spice.
  5. Transfer the salad to a serving platter and garnish with a little extra lemon zest or a few whole cardamom pods if desired.
  6. Serve the medley chilled or at room temperature for a refreshing summer snack.

Notes

Choose fruit that are ripe but still firm for the best texture; adjust the maple syrup amount if your fruit are exceptionally sweet.
