The BEST Banana Bread

This is my go to recipe. Trust me.

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups sugar
  • ½ cups butter
  • 2 eggs – slightly beaten
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 4 tbsp crème fraiche (sub sour cream or yogurt)
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 1/3 cups flour
  • 1 cups mashed bananas
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cups optional: nuts
  • ½ tsp optional: rum flavoring

Instructions

  1. Set oven to 325 degrees
  2. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy with electric mixer
  3. Add beaten eggs
  4. Dissolve baking soda in sour cream. Add to butter/egg mixture. Beat well
  5. Add mashed bananas and vanilla
  6. Add flour and salt. Mix well
  7. If desired, add nuts/or rum flavoring
  8. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour 20 mins if baking one loaf. If baking muffins, 25 mins, or until knife inserted comes out clean.
