Air Fryer Chicken Meatballs
Juicy, flavorful chicken meatballs seasoned with garlic, herbs, and Parmesan, cooked quickly in the air fryer for a healthy, low-effort meal or appetizer.
Ingredients
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1/2 tbsp salt
- 1 tbsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 4 cloves (minced) garlic
- 2 tbsp (minced) shallots (or onions)
- 1/4 cup (grated) parmesan reggiano
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- In a medium bowl, combine 1 lb ground chicken, 1 egg, 1 tbsp paprika, 1/2 tbsp salt, 1 tbsp black pepper, 1 tbsp garlic powder, 1 tbsp onion powder, 4 cloves minced garlic, 2 tbsp minced shallots (or onions), and 1/4 cup grated Parmesan Reggiano. Mix gently with your hands until just combined, being careful not to overwork the mixture.
- Divide the mixture into 16 equal portions and roll each into a 1-inch meatball.
- Line the air fryer basket with parchment paper or lightly spray with oil. Arrange the meatballs in a single layer, ensuring they don't touch.
- Air fry for 15 minutes, flipping the meatballs halfway through with tongs, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature reaches 165°F).
- Serve hot with sauce of choice, over pasta, or as an appetizer.
Notes
These meatballs freeze well; cook from frozen by adding 5 minutes to the air fry time.
