Juicy, flavorful chicken meatballs seasoned with garlic, herbs, and Parmesan, cooked quickly in the air fryer for a healthy, low-effort meal or appetizer.

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1/2 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 4 cloves (minced) garlic
  • 2 tbsp (minced) shallots (or onions)
  • 1/4 cup (grated) parmesan reggiano

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine 1 lb ground chicken, 1 egg, 1 tbsp paprika, 1/2 tbsp salt, 1 tbsp black pepper, 1 tbsp garlic powder, 1 tbsp onion powder, 4 cloves minced garlic, 2 tbsp minced shallots (or onions), and 1/4 cup grated Parmesan Reggiano. Mix gently with your hands until just combined, being careful not to overwork the mixture.
  3. Divide the mixture into 16 equal portions and roll each into a 1-inch meatball.
  4. Line the air fryer basket with parchment paper or lightly spray with oil. Arrange the meatballs in a single layer, ensuring they don't touch.
  5. Air fry for 15 minutes, flipping the meatballs halfway through with tongs, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature reaches 165°F).
  6. Serve hot with sauce of choice, over pasta, or as an appetizer.

Notes

These meatballs freeze well; cook from frozen by adding 5 minutes to the air fry time.
