Spiced High-Protein Granola Clusters
Warmly spiced granola with oats, honey, and nut butter that bakes into crunchy clusters, finished with seeds and optional chocolate for a high-protein breakfast or snack.

- 1 cups rolled oats
- 2 cups high-protein oats
- 1 tsp ground cardamom
- 1 tsp vanilla powder
- 1 tsp vanilla paste
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cups olive oil
- 1/3 cups honey
- 1/3 cups almond butter
- 2 oz egg whites
- 1 cups slivered almonds
- 3/4 cups dried tart cherries
- 2 tbsp ground flaxseed
- 2 tbsp chia seeds
- 1/2 tsp flaky salt
- 1/2 cups dark chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 300°F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, stir together the rolled oats, high-protein oats, ground cardamom, vanilla powder, vanilla paste, ground ginger, and ground cinnamon.
- In a small saucepan, gently warm the olive oil, honey, and almond butter over low heat until smooth and pourable.
- Pour the warm liquid mixture over the oat mixture and stir until evenly coated.
- Using clean hands, mix thoroughly until all oats are moistened.
- Stir in 1 to 2 egg whites depending on desired chunkiness.
- Fold in the slivered almonds and dried tart cherries.
- Spread the mixture evenly on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes.
- Remove from the oven, gently stir to form clusters, then flatten back into an even layer.
- Drizzle with the remaining olive oil, then sprinkle with ground flaxseed, chia seeds, and flaky salt.
- Return to the oven and bake at 325°F for 5 minutes, then increase to 350°F and bake 5 minutes more until golden and toasty.
- Cool completely on the sheet before breaking into clusters; stir in chocolate chips if using.
Notes
Adjust egg whites for larger or smaller clusters; store cooled granola in an airtight container up to two weeks.
