A simple, flavorful one-pot dish featuring little smokies simmered in a tangy BBQ sauce with onions and peppers, ready in under 30 minutes for easy weeknight dinners.

  • 14 oz little smokies
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 medium bell pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 cup bbq sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add 1 chopped onion and 1 sliced bell pepper; sauté for 3-4 minutes until softened.
  3. Stir in 2 minced garlic cloves and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the little smokies to the skillet and cook for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Pour in 1 cup BBQ sauce, 1/4 cup ketchup, 2 tbsp brown sugar, 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce, and 1/2 tsp smoked paprika; stir to combine.
  6. Bring to a simmer, reduce heat to low, and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens.
  7. Serve hot with rice or as an appetizer.
