Crispy bites of boneless skinless chicken breasts coated in a sweet and savory sesame sauce, whipped up in a flash on the stovetop for a satisfying Asian main course perfect for busy evenings. Pair with noodles or rice to round out the dish.

  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 2 stalks green onions

Instructions

  1. Cut 1 pound of boneless skinless chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a bowl, toss the chicken pieces with 1/4 cup cornstarch until evenly coated.
  3. Heat 2 tablespoons vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the coated chicken to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden and cooked through; remove and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add 2 minced garlic cloves and 1 teaspoon grated ginger; sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  6. Stir in 1/4 cup soy sauce, 1/4 cup honey, 2 tablespoons rice vinegar, and 2 tablespoons water; bring to a simmer.
  7. Return the chicken to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce; cook for 2 minutes until thickened.
  8. Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
  9. Serve hot over rice or noodles.
