Shan Chana Masala Chickpeas
A hearty Pakistani-style chickpea curry simmered with aromatic spices from Shan masala mix, perfect as a main or side dish.

- 1 cup heapfull 250g chickpeas
- 1 small 100g onion
- ½ -1 cup oil or ghee
- 3 leveled tablespoons 25g shan chana masala mix
Instructions
- Drain the water from the soaked chickpeas and add 8 cups of water. Boil for 2-3 hours on low heat until tender.
- Add the Shan Chana Masala Mix and stir well. Cover and cook on low heat for about 45 minutes or until the chickpeas turn a darker shade.
- In a separate pan, heat the oil or ghee and fry the diced onion until golden brown.
- Add the boiled chickpeas to the pan with the onions. Stir fry until the oil separates from the chickpeas.
