- Combine warm water, sugar, and yeast in a bowl, and let it sit for 10 minutes until frothy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt.
- Add the yeast mixture and melted butter to the flour mixture.
- Mix until a dough forms, then knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- Punch down the risen dough, then shape it into a rectangle and roll it tightly into a loaf shape.
- Place the shaped dough in a greased loaf pan and cover it again. Allow it to rise for another 30-45 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake the bread for 25-30 minutes until the top is golden brown and the bread sounds hollow when tapped.
- Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
