Oven-Baked Italian Meatballs

Juicy, flavorful meatballs seasoned with Italian herbs, garlic, and a touch of chili heat, baked to perfection in just 15 minutes.

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp chili flakes
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tbsp italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Finely chop the onion and mince the garlic.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, egg, bread crumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, chili flakes, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  4. Mix the ingredients thoroughly with your hands until evenly combined, being careful not to overmix.
  5. Scoop about 2 tablespoons of the mixture and roll into 1.5-inch meatballs; place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, or until the meatballs are browned and reach an internal temperature of 160°F.
  7. Remove from the oven and let rest for 2 minutes before serving.
