Chewy, classic chocolate chip cookies with a buttery flavor from unsalted butter and plenty of chocolate. Not too sweet.

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 2 Sticks unsalted butter (softened)
  • 100 g granulated sugar
  • 110 g light brown sugar (packed)
  • 9.8 g vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 410 g all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 250 G chocolate
  • flaky salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius). Line three baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl mix all-purpose flour, 1 tsp baking soda, 1/2 tsp baking powder and 1 tsp sea salt. Set aside.
  3. Cream together 2 sticks unsalted butter (softened) and 100 g granulated sugar and 110 g light brown sugar until combined.
  4. Beat in 2 eggs and 9.8 g vanilla extract until light (about 1 minute).
  5. Mix in the dry ingredients until combined.
  6. Add chocolate chunks and mix well.
  7. Roll 2-3 tbsp of dough at a time into balls and place them evenly spaced on your prepared cookie sheets.
  8. Bake in preheated oven for approximately 12 minutes. Take them out when they are just barely starting to turn brown.
  9. Top with flaky salt
  10. Let them sit on the baking pan for 5 minutes before removing to cooling rack.
