Crispy Sesame Ginger Everything Bagel Tofu
Extra-firm tofu is pressed, cubed, and tossed in a sticky sesame-soy-ginger-honey-sriracha glaze before being rolled in everything bagel seasoning and baked until caramelized and chewy.
Ingredients
Ingredients
- 14 oz extra-firm tofu
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp sriracha
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tbsp grated fresh ginger
- 2 tbsp everything bagel seasoning
Instructions
- Press the tofu between two plates lined with paper towels for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cut the pressed tofu into 1-inch cubes and place in a large bowl.
- Whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, sriracha, minced garlic, and grated ginger until smooth.
- Pour the sauce over the tofu cubes and gently toss to coat evenly.
- Sprinkle the everything bagel seasoning over the tofu and toss again until each piece is well coated.
- Arrange the tofu in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between pieces.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the edges are golden and caramelized.
- Serve immediately over rice or in bowls with steamed vegetables.
Notes
Pressing the tofu is essential for achieving a chewy, restaurant-style texture.
