Beef & Broccoli
Beef And Broccoli Stir-Fry
Tender beef slices and crisp broccoli are coated in a savory oyster sauce for a quick weeknight stir-fry.
Ingredients
Ingredients
- 1 lb flank steak
- 1 lb broccoli florets
- 5 tbsp cornstarch
- 5 tbsp oyster sauce
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1-2 tbsp olive oil
- a small splash water
Instructions
- Slice the broccoli into bite-sized florets and wash if needed.
- Thinly slice the flank steak across the grain.
- Mix the cornstarch into the sliced meat until it reaches a creamy consistency, adding a small splash of water if the mixture is too dry.
- Add the soy sauce and oyster sauce to the meat and mix thoroughly to marinate.
- Heat the olive oil in a frying pan over high heat.
- Add the seasoned meat to the pan and sprinkle with garlic powder; cook until browned through without overcooking.
- Add the broccoli florets to the pan.
- Stir in additional oyster sauce to coat the vegetables.
- Cover the pan and cook, stirring occasionally, until the broccoli is tender-crisp.
Notes
Slice the meat thinly against the grain for maximum tenderness; adjust soy sauce to taste.
