Homemade Rotiboy Coffee Bun Paste
A simple coffee-flavored paste inspired by Rotiboy buns, perfect for spreading on bread and toasting at home.

- 120g ½ cup unsalted butter
- 100g ½ cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp thai tea
- 15ml 1 tbsp hot water
- 120g 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 5ml 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 pinch salt
Instructions
- Make thai tea and set a side to cool
- In a bowl, cream together the unsalted butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg, then add the coffee mixture, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Mix well.
- Gradually incorporate the all-purpose flour until a smooth paste forms. Store in a jar in the fridge for up to a week.
- To use: Spread generously on slices of bread and bake at 180°C (350°F) for 12-15 minutes until golden.
Notes
Dont have instant coffee so i used thai tea 😛
