- 2 tbsp tomato paste

- 2 tbsp worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 6 oz hamburger buns
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the diced onion and green bell pepper; sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add the minced garlic; cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Add the ground beef; cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
- Stir in the tomato paste; cook for 1 minute.
- Pour in the tomato sauce, beef broth, and Worcestershire sauce; stir to combine.
- Stir in the brown sugar, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper.
- Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer, uncovered, for 15–20 minutes, until the mixture thickens.
- Toast the hamburger buns until lightly golden.
- Spoon the sloppy Joe filling onto the buns and serve.
