Cinnamon Rolls
Cinnamon rolls made in 20 minutes, with each bite as the center of the cinnamon roll. From davidsdelights_ on Instagram.
Ingredients
Dough
- 1 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/3 cups milk (or half milk, half heavy cream)
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tbsp melted butter
Coating
- 1 tbsp melted butter
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 1-2 tsp cinnamon
Vanilla Bean Glaze
- 4 tbsp powdered sugar
- 2 tsp heavy cream
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- vanilla bean or vanilla bean paste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F and grease or line your pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- Warm milk slightly, then mix in vanilla and melted butter.
- Pour wet into dry and mix until a soft dough forms, stop as soon as it comes together, don’t overmix.
- Lightly flour your surface, roll dough into a log, flatten slightly, and cut into 20 even bites.
- Toss each piece in melted butter, then coat fully in cinnamon sugar.
- Place in pan in a single layer with a little space between each, no stacking.
- Bake 9 to 10 minutes, until lightly golden, don’t overbake.
- While baking, mix glaze until smooth, adjust thickness if needed.
- Let bites cool 1 to 2 minutes, drizzle glaze over the top while warm, and enjoy.
