Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Potluck Club ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. User-Generated Content Policy

Potluck Club allows users to create, share, and interact with user-generated content including recipes, posts, comments, and images. By using the App, you agree to the following:

2.1 Zero Tolerance for Objectionable Content

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. The following types of content are strictly prohibited:

• Harassment & Bullying: Content that harasses, intimidates, or bullies other users
• Hate Speech: Content that promotes discrimination, hatred, or violence based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics
• Adult Content: Sexually explicit, pornographic, or obscene material
• Violence: Content that promotes or glorifies violence, self-harm, or dangerous activities
• Illegal Content: Content that violates any applicable laws or regulations
• Spam & Deception: Unsolicited promotions, misleading information, or impersonation of others
• Privacy Violations: Sharing others' personal information without consent
• Intellectual Property: Content that infringes on others' copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights

2.2 Reporting Objectionable Content

Users can report objectionable content or abusive users directly within the App. We encourage all users to report content that violates these Terms.

2.3 Blocking Users

You may block any user whose content you find objectionable. Blocking a user will:

• Immediately remove their content from your feed
• Prevent them from seeing your content
• Remove any mutual follow relationships
• Notify our team for review

2.4 Enforcement

We review all reports within 24 hours. Violations of these Terms may result in:

• Removal of the offending content
• Temporary or permanent suspension of your account
• Reporting to law enforcement if required by law

Repeat offenders will be permanently banned from the platform.

3. Your Responsibilities

As a user of Potluck Club, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information when creating your account
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Not share your account with others
• Respect other users and their content
• Only post content that you have the right to share
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
• Report violations of these Terms when you encounter them

4. Content Ownership & License

You retain ownership of content you create and share on Potluck Club. By posting content, you grant Potluck Club a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your content in connection with operating the App.

You may delete your content at any time. Deleted content will be removed from the App, though it may persist in backups for a limited period.

5. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, and functionality, is owned by Potluck Club and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App without our express permission.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or other harmful components.

Food Safety Notice: Recipes shared by users are provided for informational purposes only. We are not responsible for the accuracy, safety, or suitability of any recipe. Always use your own judgment regarding food safety and consult professionals when needed.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Potluck Club shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App.

8. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. You may also delete your account at any time through the App settings.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction in the United States.

10. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes through the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
